A quarter mile away is Blue Lakes which is a colder deeper lake and is good for trout fishing. At Blue Lakes there is also a lodge with a restaurant and motel and close by there is also a convience store. It is about 10 miles to Lake Mendocino and about 5 miles to Clearlake. It is also about 150 miles north of San Francisco and Sacramento. It is close to Lakeport and Ukiah.
